Pyongyang : The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) announced on Friday it has stopped dismantling nuclear facilities in Nyongbyon given the US refusal to eliminate it from the list of countries supporting terrorism.
KCNA agency quoted a foreign ministry’s spokesperson as saying efforts are being made to return those facilities to their previous state, as a counter-measure to the White House’s negative response.
It is a logic reaction to the US failure to comply with the reciprocity stipulated by the joint declaration on September 19, 2005, and the agreements reached last year in February and October, the source added.
The spokesperson denounced that the US is deceiving the world public opinion by constantly evading application of the last document.
The US tries to force North Korea to unilaterally dismantle its installations through pressure, while misleading public opinion by creating the impression that the denuclearization process has stalemated because Pyongyang rejected the verification process, the source insisted.
