Damascus : At least 17 civilians were killed in a car bomb blast in the Syrian capital Damascus Saturday, national news agency SANA reported.
Fourteen other people were injured when the bomb went off near the busy Sayyida Zainab district.
There is a mosque in the area that is visited by Shia pilgrims, many of whom travel to Syria from Iran.
