Jama’at-e-Islami Hind Issues ‘Peoples’ Manifesto’

By RINA,

New Delhi : Jama’t-e-Islami Hind’s ‘Peoples’ Manifesto’ is yet another effort to make people aware of current political atmosphere and guide them how to deal with the forces working behind the scene. The ‘manifesto’ puts special emphasis on government plans regarding minorities’ welfare. Jama’at-e-Islami Hind (JIH) will support only those parties, alliances and candidates who avow to meet its demands.
The 14-point manifesto stresses on developmental and national issues. Displeasure with present UPA government is shown on certain issues like nuclear deal with USA and current foreign policy. According to Syed Qasim Rasool, the media in-charge and member of the central advisory committee of JIH, “Country’s foreign policy has not remained independent now. US pressure is clearly visible.”
