Chandigarh : A police constable posted at the residence here of former Punjab police chief A.A. Siddiqui shot at his colleague following an argument. The injured policeman is in critical condition, officials said Wednesday.
In a fit of anger, Shamsher Singh fired two bullets at Balbir Singh from his service rifle around midnight Tuesday outside the former director general of police’s residence in Sector 8.
“Balbir was hit in his chest and arm. He was bleeding profusely while being taken to the hospital and is still in critical condition,” investigating officer Har Sahai Sharma told IANS.
Shamsher Singh has been arrested.
