Sharjah : Preparations are under way for the Etisalat-Sharjah Water Festival, which kicks off Wednesday on the shore of Sharjah’s Khalid Lagoon in United Arab Emirates, WAM news agency reported Tuesday.
The festival, which will run Dec 2-12, is one of the biggest family entertainment events in the region and coincides with the F1 Powerboat World Championship – Sharjah Grand Prix, being hosted by the emirate for the tenth year.
The performances at the festival include the Italian orchestra I Cameristi Triestini that will perform a show on the opening night, the London-based Sesame Street Performance, and the Florida-based high dive team.
I Cameristi Triestini, founded by celebrated conductor Maestro Fabio Nossal, is a chamber orchestra of young musicians. The orchestra has performed successfully in Italy and abroad.
The Sesame Street performance features all of the favourite characters from the educational children’s television series “Sesame Street”.
