New Delhi: At least a dozen terror attacks were foiled in the last one year, Home Minister P. Chidambaram told parliament Wednesday, adding that India could still not afford to lower its guard.
“We have built capacity but we are still vulnerable as our adversary (to the west) has not changed his approach,” Chidambaram said in the Rajya Sabha, adding: “You will note that I am using the word adversary and not enemy”.
He was replying to a short duration discussion in the house on the internal security situation in the country.
Chidambaram also said that he would respond within 72 hours if the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) offers to hold talks with the government.
