One Indian among five wounded in Afghan blast

Kabul : At least five employees of an Indian company, an Indian included, were injured Wednesday morning when a remote-controlled bomb went off in eastern Afghanistan, the authorities said.

Dawurat Khan Qayumi, an Afghan official, said the incident occurred at 8.30 a.m. in Ismael Khil district of Khost province when a vehicle of the Indian road construction company was hit in the blast.

“So far at least four Afghan employees along with one Indian national were injured,” Qayumi added.

No group or individuals have claimed responsibility for the attack. Taliban militants often carry out such attacks targeting those working for foreign companies and troops.
