Quake of moderate intensity rattles Pakistan

Islamabad : A quake of moderate intensity, second in the last two days, rattled several parts of northern Pakistan Monday morning, causing no immediate human or material loss.
According to the Metrological Department, an earthquake of 5.7 magnitude with epicenter in the remote Hindu Kush mountain range jolted Islamabad, Peshawar, Lahore, Kashmir, and several districts of North-West Frontier Pakistan (NWFP).
The quake created panic but there were no immediate reports of human or material loss.

An earthquake of 5.9 magnitude jolted the same areas early Sunday, wounding at least three in Peshawar.

An earthquake of 7.6 magnitude hit Pakistan in October 2005, killing 73,000 people and displacing 2.5 million others.
