US Embassy selects AMU student for academic trip to US

Aligarh: Mohd. Ghazi, a student of S.T.S. High School at Aligarh Muslim University has been selected for an academic trip to the US in July-August 2009 as part of the US Embassy Access Programme.

Ghazi is enrolled in the Access Scholarship Programme which is aimed at enhancing proficiency in English, in which 100 AMU school students, both boys and girls, of socially underprivileged sections are registered. This programme has been in progress since November 2007 under the auspices of the UGC Academic Staff College, AMU, Aligarh.

UGC Academic Staff College Director has complimented Ghazi on this accomplishment and expressed his hope that such academic exchange programmes will contribute to academic excellence on the AMU campus.
