UK Jewish weekly bans publication of Gaza advert

London, Mar 2, IRNA – A British Jewish weekly has refused to run an advertisement for Amnesty International about Gaza following Israel’s latest massacres.
The Jewish Telegraph said the advert was submitted with a large headline which read: “Gaza Crisis. Don’t let war criminals get away with murder.”

It was “dominated by an image of an anguished Palestinian man carrying what appears to be the body of a dead child from the ruins of a building,” the weekly revealed.
“While there was a suggestion that there had been ‘war crimes’ committed by both sides, the advertisement was very clearly pointing the finger of blame at Israel,” it said.

The refusal comes after the BBC banned the screening of a combined humanitarian appeal for Gaza aid from leading British charities despite public protests and widespread criticism from more than 200 MPs.
