European Union Film Festival to be held in India

New Delhi : The 14th European Union Film Festival is to begin later on Thrusday in India and would continue until April 22 in New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Kozihodhe, Chennai and Jamshedpur.

A selection of contemporary film productions of nineteen European countries are to be screened during the festival which is to be inaugurated Thursday evening at Siri Fort Auditorium in Delhi.

The “Czech Dream” will be the inaugural film to be screened in New Delhi.

The aim of the festival is to encourage broad international cooperation of cultural and commercial relations between Europe’s film industry and filmmakers in India.

The Festival is being organized by the Directorate of Film Festivals, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India in collaboration with the Delegation of the European Commission to India and the Czech Embassy along with other European Union Member State Embassies and local partners.
