Singh and Ashhad were riding a bike on that day near Sector 18 in Noida, with Ashhad as a pillion rider. The police stopped them and after knowing that one of them was an Azamgarh Muslim they took them to police post. While Ashhad’s friend Singh was released at 2 am on that day, he was kept in the custody. Ashhad was taken to Sector 20 Police Station for further interrogation by senior police officers. According to Singh, Ashhad was kept in the custody just because he was a Muslim and also from Azamgarh. Only TwoCircles.net published the news about the incident.

Talking to TCN today, Singh said the police did not find anything wrong about Ashhad. He was released and handed over to Singh in the night on March 7 as in the presence of Singh, Ashhad was kept in the custody. Singh said his friend has left for his native town as his parent was no longer ready to leave him in the city. And thus thanks to the police, the bright career of a B.Tech graduate, who was doing software testing course in Noida and was in search of a good job, has been dimmed.
