No rain again, Delhi remains hot and humid

New Delhi : Rains eluded the capital again Thursday as the mercury soared upwards, making it a hot and humid day. The weather will remain the same Friday too, the weatherman said.

According to the India Meteorological Department, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 36.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above average. The minimum also remained on the higher side, two notches above average at 29.5 degrees Celsius.

Humidity remained high – between 52 to 77 percent.

The weather office said Friday will have similar weather conditions with some chances of rain.

“The sky will be partly clouded with possibility of rain or thundershower,” an IMD official said.

“The maximum will be around 36.6 degrees Celsius while the minimum will be around 29 degrees Celsius,” the official added.
