Muscat : The death toll from Tropical Cyclone Phet, which hit Oman on Thursday, has risen to 11, said Inspector General of Police and Customs and Chairman of the National Civil Defence Committee Malek bin Sulaiman Al-Merri on Saturday.
In a statement, he said that the Omani authorities were working on assessing material damage in the areas hit by the storm.
