Bangladesh commerce minister arrives Thursday

New Delhi: Bangladesh Commerce Minister M. Faruk Khan will arrive here Thursday on a three-day visit during which he will hold talks with his Indian counterpart over strengthening bilateral trade.

The Bangladeshi minister will be accompanied by a 20-member delegation comprising of heads of different business chambers.

He will hold talks with Indian Commerce Minister Anand Sharma Oct 23, after which the two are expected to sign trade agreements.

Bangladesh is expected to take up issues related to ways to address the large trade surplus with India.

Khan will also be meeting Indian business during a dinner hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industry and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
