Rose has over recent years been successful to hold free talks with representative of Iranian nation but this time he showed more than ever how he is bewildered over Iranian president’s strong logic, clear justifications and awareness over international issues and even US domestic issues.

Prior to the interview, Rose told the Iranian president that he had in his visit to Syria interviewed some friends of Iran, including Syrian President Bashar Assad and Hamas Political Bureau Chief Khaled Mashal.

Iranian President told him that Iran was ready to provide him with a list of seven billion people if he wished interviewing Iranian friends.

‘Also, you can interview yourself because you are also one of the friends of Iran ,’ President Ahmadinejad told Rose.

As the president repeatedly stressed that certain states’ decision of sanctioning Iran was futile and immature, Rose said Mr. Hashem Rafsanjani too had referred to effectiveness of the sanctions.

Ahmadinejad said in Iran everybody is free to express his view.

He said following the first count of sanctions issued against Iran four years ago; Iran has been able to meet 70 percent of its oil needs domestically.

Asked to comment on brain drains, President said ‘Do you think Iran’s big achievements in the fields of aerospace, biotechnology, nuclear and other domains are gained by illiterate people or it is the work of scientists?’

The president then said in answer that Iranian scientists have constant links with the outside world and many Iranian scientists are now busy working for the US research and industrial centers.
Rose asked, ‘You say you do no have any problem in Iran ,’ and the President answered, ‘What country do you know having no problem? Aren’t there any problems in the US ? Isn’t sleeping of four million US citizens on streets among problems of the country?’

Asked to provide justifications on ineffectiveness of the UNSC sanctions, president Ahmadinejad said since issuance of the sanctions, Iran Stock Exchange has gained 25 percent progress, meaning that Iran Stock Exchange is the most successful of its kind worldwide. Moreover, he said, economic jubilance and investment have been growing in Iran as the country ranks sixth worldwide in terms of foreign investment and as a result of sanctions, Iranian nation has got further united, launching double efforts.

Asked why Iran refers to Israeli government as a regime, he said, ‘We do not officially recognize Israel which is a forged, racist, occupying and terrorist regime. It ruins houses of Palestinians, attacks the neighboring states and has denied innocent Gazans’ access to water and food.’

The TV host then asked the President about Sakineh Mohammadi, a woman who is imprisoned and tried for killing her husband.

Western media have over recent months launched hues and cries over her stoning.
The President rejected the report and referred to a list of 53 American women who are now waiting executions in US jails for killing their husbands
