New Delhi: Indian Muslim Council-USA (IMC-USA has expressed its grave concern at the continued heightening of anxiety over Allahabad High Court’s anticipated September 24th, 2010, Babri Masjid title suit decision.
“Apprehension regarding this sixty year old law suit appears to be approaching near-panic levels in some areas of the nation. Therefore, we urge all State Governments, especially in sensitive areas – such as Kashmir, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka to immediately implement all necessary preemptive measures in order to ensure continued peace and tranquility, once the high court delivers its verdict.” said Rasheed Ahmed, president IMC-USA.
“We recognize that both parties do have the legal right to appeal the high court’s decision in the Supreme Court. However, IMC-USA strongly urges all Citizens to respect the laws of the land and maintain peace at all times by avoiding both celebrations and provocative actions” added, Ahmed.
Indian Muslim Council-USA is the largest advocacy organization of Indian Muslims in the United States with 10 chapters across the nation. IMC-USA is a Washington, D.C. registered non-profit 501(C)(3) tax-exempt organization established in August 2002 with a mission to promote peace, pluralism and social justice through strategic advocacy.
