South Africa’s women’s 800m world champion Caster Semenya, still recovering from a back injury, is already in doubt for the Games.

Tubby Reddy, CEO of the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) has said no athlete will be allowed to skip the Games and the ones who are claiming injury will be tested for the same, the Sport 24 website reported.

A lot of athletes have pulled out of the Games. Australian champion discus thrower Dani Samuels of Australia and four world-class British cyclists including world champion Geraint Thomas decided against coming to Delhi over health and security reasons.
