Kolkata : Goodricke Group Ltd is looking for partners to enter the retail market for iced tea, a top executive of the company said Tuesday.
The company is already present in the bulk sale of iced tea. “We have identified three companies for distribution of iced tea,” Goodricke managing director and CEO Arun N. Singh told reporters on the sidelines of the 35th annual general meeting of the company.
The company’s sale of instant tea, including iced tea, is around 300 tonnes, of which almost 200 tonnes is exported. Singh said the company was also looking at partners for bottling and pre-mix of iced tea.
“A Japanese company has showed interest for that,” he added.
“The instant tea plants’ sale in the domestic tariff area witnessed growth and iced tea powder, developed in-house for commercial marketing, is finding keen prospective buyers,” company chairman P.J. Field said in a statement.
