New Delhi : Rajya Sabha was adjourned Wednesday morning as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs protested police action against its members at a rally close to parliament house a day earlier.
As soon as the upper house met, opposition members were on their feet protesting the crackdown. They wanted suspension of Question Hour to take up this issue.
Repeated pleas by Chairman M. Hamid Ansari were not heeded. Amid pandemonium, the house was adjourned till 12 noon.
