The homes of more than 200 people were restored in Kerni village of Poonch district Friday, according to a spokesman of the army here.

The spokesman described it as an Eid gift to the residents.

Owing to heavy trans-LoC firing prevalent in 2001, the people of Kerni were relocated to Kallu area and New Colony in Poonch town.

Rafiq Ahmad, a resident, told reporters, it was a dream come true for him.
