Mumbai : Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan was booed at by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activists when he arrived at the KEM Hospital in central Mumbai to meet and console some of the victims of Wednesday evening’s triple blasts.
A group of BJP activists led by city chief Raj Purohit shouted slogans condemning the state government for not assuring security of the citizens.
They also demanded the resignations of Chavan and Home Minister R.R. Patil, saying that they had failed to ensure the safety of the people of the metropolis.
Chavan remained in the hospital for a few minutes before leaving for another hospital where victims were admitted.
