Lamba’s visit assumes significance in the light of India’s diversifying defence relations with Poland, given its expertise in military technology and it being viewed as a potentially important defence partner, the senior army officer said.

“The visit by the second senior-most officer of the Indian Army is expected to give added impetus to existing defence ties between the two countries,” he said.
