ZFI selects 27 candidates for Civil Services 2011 (Prelims)

New Delhi: Zakat Foundation of India has selected 27 Muslim civil services aspirants from across the country after screening, written test and interview. These candidates will be prepared for Civil Services 2011 (Prelims) at country’s best civil services coaching institute. ZFI will bear all the costs including boarding and food expenses in Delhi.

The final selection of these candidates was done on 31st May 2011. For some years, ZFI has been sponsoring talented Muslim candidates for Civil Services and it has registered remarkable success.

In 2009 civil services exam whose results were declared in 2010, ZFI candidate Shah Faisal from Kashmir had got the top rank in the country. In 2010 civil services exam whose results were announced last month, four ZFI candidates declared successful.

Out of 27 candidates selected for 2011 preparation, 8 are from Kashmir and 3 from Uttar Pradesh while 2 each from Manipur, Kerala, Karnataka, Gujarat, Bihar and Delhi besides 1 each from West Bengal, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
