“We don’t support this frequent price rise of fuels. This creates lot of problems for the people. We have already conveyed our opinion at the appropriate place,” the Trinamool Congress chief told mediapersons at the state secretariat here.

“The (central) government may have some decisions to take. But we don’t support this. This is a time of floods, the people are facing problems. So if the prices of fuel are increased frequently, it only adds to people’s miseries,” she said.

The government late Friday announced a hike in the price of diesel by Rs.3 per litre, kerosene by Rs.2 a litre and Rs.50 per cylinder in LPG.
