Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Salma Ansari who has a life long association with AMU, said that she joined AMU riding club and she found horse riding much more than a recreational activity. Horse took her to the places where abject poverty, deprivation and denial were the order and the lanes resembled horror movies that neither had a formal beginning nor an end. “I instantly decided to devote my life for the educational upliftment of the marginalized section”, added Mrs. Ansari.

Himani Verma, the author of the book “Colours of My Rainbow” said that her close
association with Mrs. Salma Ansari prompted her to record her untiring efforts for ushering in a better world for those who lack opportunity and hence lead a life of complete deprivation.
