India face Australia, Sri Lanka take on England in World Cup quarters

New Delhi: India will face defending champions Australia in the second quarterfinal in Ahmedabad March 24 while Sri Lanka, runners-up in 2007, take on Twenty20 champions England in Colombo in the fourth quarterfinal of the World Cup slated for March 26.In Dhaka, Pakistan will meet the West Indies March 23 while New Zealand face South Africa March 25.

India finished second in Group B after they defeated the West Indies by 80 runs in their last Group B fixture in Chennai. The West Indies finished fourth, behind England, who were third. South Africa have already finished as group toppers while England would be third.

The Group A standings have already been finalised. Pakistan finished on top, co-hosts Sri Lanka are second followed by Australia and New Zealand in the third and fourth places.
