Dhaka : New Zealand made 221 for eight against South Africa in the third quarterfinal match of the World Cup at the Shere Bangla National Stadium here Friday.
Left-hand batsman Jesse Ryder top scored with 83 while Ross Taylor made 43. Kane Williamson chipped in with a 38-run cameo towards the end.
Morne Morkel took three wickets for South Africa while Dale Steyn and Imran Tahir picked up two each.
