Jamia Millia to run vocational courses for local residents

New Delhi: The Department of Adult and Continuing Education and Extension, Jamia Millia Islamia has planned to conduct short-term training courses in the academic year 2011-12 for the residents of nearby localities. The courses will run for a duration from anywhere to 1 to 6 months and a very nominal fee will be charged.

The following short-term training courses will be conducted: 1) Sewing & Cutting; 2) Motor Driving; 3) Wireman; 4) Beautician; 5) Dress Designing; 6) Textile Designing & Printing; 7) Repair of Electricity Equipment; 8) Mobile Repairing; 9) Soft toys making; 10) Computer Skill Development Course.

These courses will run for a duration from anywhere to 1 to 6 months and a very nominal fee will be charged for these courses. Pamphlets have been sent out into the locality so that interested residents of nearby localities can contact the Department of Adult and Continuing Education and Extension, Jamia Millia Islamia, informed Media Coordinator of Jamia.

The deadline for application is May 10, 2011. The residents can come and visit the department from 10 AM to 4 PM to know more about the details of these courses. They may even call the department on 26843940.
