Tripoli : Footage of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi meeting tribal leaders was broadcast on state television Thursday.
Officials claimed the footage of the Libyan leader was shot Wednesday.
The footage was the first of the leader who has not been seen in public since April 30.
There has been speculation that he might have been killed during attacks by NATO warplanes. The military coalition Wednesday said it has conducted 6,000 missions over Libya.
On May 1, the Libyan government said an attack by NATO planes on Gaddafi’s compound killed his son Saif al-Arab Gaddafi, as well as three of his grandchildren.
