Hyderabad: A local court in Hyderabad issued a prisoner’s transit (PT) warrant against pune based stud farm owner and alleged money launderer Hasan Ali Khan, in the dual passport case. The court also ordered the city police to produce Hassan Ali before the court by November 16.
Hasan Ali Khan who was arrested by the enforcement directorate in money laundering and tax evasion case, is presently lodged in Arthur road jail in Mumbai.
In Hyderabad Ali is facing charges of securing a passport from regional passport office by producing false residential proof. He is even accused of obtaining exactly five passports from different parts of the country including Hyderabad.
Police officials said that first passport obtained by Hasan Ali was confiscated in 1996 when he was involved in a cheating case, Hasan Ali, then obtained the second passport by furnishing the residential proof of his first wife even after giving divorce to her.
Hyderabad Police said that they will send the PT warrant to the jail superintendent requesting him to produce Hasan Ali Khan in the court before November 16.
