Former minister’s fast for Telangana enters eight day

Hyderabad: Former minister from Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy’s cabinet, Mr. Komatireddy Venkat Reddy continued his indefinite fast for the eight successive days. He was arrested and forcefully evacuated from his hunger strike camp in Nalgonda district and was then admitted to the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) since Sunday.

Mr. Venkat Reddy has refused to cooperate with the doctors. His condition is stable as a team of doctors are putting a close eye on him. Mr. Reddy told that he will continue his fast till the center announced a final and definite road map on formation of Telangana state.

Many of his supporters had assembled in the premises of the hospital, police got the tough time controlling the huge crowd and protecting the steady stream of V.I.P visitors to the hospital including many congress leaders who had urging him to call of his fast unto death as the center is expected to make a announcement soon.
