Bhopal: A district court in Madhya Pradesh Thursday ordered registration of cases against Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his Bharatiya Janata Party colleague and Leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj for allegedly showing disrespect towards the national flag in 2010.
The Nasrullaganj court in Sehore district also issued warrants against the two and two others on a complaint filed by Congress member Dwarika Prasad Jaat.
He alleged that on March 31, 2010, at a ceremony to felicitate Sushma Swaraj on becoming an MP from Vidisha parliamentary constituency a girl child, dressed as ‘Bharat Mata’, carried the national flag in an upside down position.
