Kolkata : While calling Arvind Kejriwal a ‘passionate’ and ‘committed’ social activist, Team Anna member Kiran Bedi Tuesday rubbished allegations that he acted in a high-handed manner.
“Kejriwal is a passionate activist and is giving all of him to the larger cause,” she said, responding to criticism by two Anna aides who quit after making allegations against Kejriwal.
She said anyone who wanted to call it quits was free to do so.
Bedi’s comments came after two prominent Team Anna members, Magsaysay award winner Rajendra Singh and Gandhian P.B. Rajagopal, Tuesday resigned from the movement.
They cited Kejriwal’s allegedly autocratic decisions and the political activities of the group.
Bedi told reporters here that the two who had left “were volunteers who come and go”.
