Delhi blast: Japan hopes India will overcome quickly

New Delhi: Describing the bombing outside the Delhi High Court complex as an “atrocious act of terrorism”, Japan Wednesday hoped that the people of India will “quickly overcome this ordeal” and stressed its cooperation with the international community to combat terrorism.

“Japan mourns the victims and expresses its condolences to the bereaved families. Japan also offers its sympathy to those wounded in the attacks,” Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

“Terrorism in all its forms and manifestations cannot be justified. Japan firmly condemns these atrocious acts of terrorism that victimise so many innocent people,” Japan’s foreign office said.

“Japan hopes that the people of India will quickly overcome this ordeal, and intends to continue cooperating with the international community to combat terrorism,” it said.
