US Embassy, AMU jointly hold educational interaction program

Aligarh: An interaction program on opportunities of education and visa rules was jointly held by Aligarh Muslim University and the Delhi US Embassy at the AMU campus on Monday. AMU Vice Chancellor Prof. P.K. Abdul Azis while inaugurating the program said that if students get meaningful and right guidance they can achieve tremendous success.

Addressing the participants, the VC said that the main aim of the program is to promote best education by exposing the AMU students to the available opportunity and necessary knowledge about higher education avenues in USA and the visa rules enforced there. He said that the legendary American President Abraham Lincoln gave the call for education and freedom and kept the door open for all and this revolutionary step has made the America the super power. Best talents from all parts of the globe moved to America in search of opportunities and America without any discrimination opened up opportunities for everyone. He said that the large number of AMU old boys are rendering services in America and are promoting the glory of their Alma Mater.



US Embassy team interacts with AMU students

Information Officer of the US Embassy, Peter Vrooman while elaborating on the educational programmes told the audience that US has not discontinued issuing visas and nearly one lakh students and tourists have been issued visas during the current year.

Educational Advisor Syed Khalid Jamal apprised the students on the issue of American education magnitude and the procedure of admission in American Universities through power point. Visa Counselor, Jerry Calarickal told the students on the process of acquiring documents for visa.



Prof. N.A.K. Durrani, Media Advisor of the University and Coordinator of the programme, urged the students to explore and excel by empowering themselves with the best educational opportunities offered in US. Elaborating on the aims and objectives, he expressed hope that the students will be greatly benefited from the interaction initiative the University has arranged with US Embassy.
