Abu Dhabi : The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has praised the efforts of the UAE to improve the humanitarian conditions of refugees around the world.
May Kadkoy, protection assistant high commissioner of the UNHCR, Wednesday described the UAE’s humanitarian initiatives as “courageous and noble.”
Kadkoy made her remarks at the opening of a two-day workshop, themed Principle and Directives for Evaluating Human Trafficking Cases, in Abu Dhabi by the NGO Ewaa Shelters for Women and Children and the UN agency.
