In a resolution at a meeting here, the party passed resolutions urging New Delhi to hike the allocation of kerosene and supply the entire power generated from the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KNPP) to Tamil Nadu.

The AIADMK also urged the central government to convene a meeting of Cauvery River Authority (CRA), protect Indian fishermen from attacks by Sri Lankan forces and regain the Katchatheevu islet given to the island nation and stop training Sri Lankan military personnel.

It accused the Congress-led government of encroaching upon the state’s domain and functioning.

Referring to the problems in power transmission and the hiccups in connecting the southern grid with the northern grid, AIADMK also urged the centre to allocate the entire 2,000 MW to be generated by the two units of KNPP located at Kudankulam in Tirunelveli district.
