New Delhi : The government is planning to make a statement in parliament on allegations of international supermarket chain Wal-Mart lobbying in the US to open the way for foreign equity in retail trade in India.
According to sources, Commerce Minister Anand Sharma may make a statement in Lok Sabha later in the day.
Proceedings in both the houses were suspended following uproar by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) demanding an inquiry into the matter.
