Dressed in white kurta-pyjama and a grey waist-coat, Amar Singh, who was here as a guest for designer Sulakshana Monga, also presented the awards to the photographers that won the photography contest held here.

“It’s good to see that WIFW is recognizing photographers as I find them unsung heroes of industry. We can’t ignore photojournalists. They are the ones who make stars out of people like Dev Anand and Rajesh Khanna,” he told reporters.

As a guest on Monga’s show, Amar Singh was seen applauding the designs created by the designer. Monga shared her show with designers Charu Parashar and Rajdeep Ranawat

Monga’s collection had military-inspired theme “portraying the stronger side of women” .

“The essence of the collection is Indian and the structure is contemporary. The techniques are indigenous and the treatment is modern. The silhouettes are well constructed by traditional and western mixes to create a story. The detailed thread embroideries, patchwork and geometrical webs create luxurious surfaces in the collection,” said the designer.

The fabrics used in the collection comprised of silk, chiffon, georgette and chanderi . Also present in the front row was actress-turned-politician Vani Tripathi dressed in cotton sari.
