Shimla : Less than week after BJP president Nitin Gadkari’s name surfaced in an alleged wrongdoing in his business, Congress president Sonia Gandhi Tuesday accused his party of inaction against corrupt leaders.
Without naming Gadkari, Gandhi, addressing an election rally here – her second in the state – said: “No other party has fought corruption as we have. I want to ask the BJP what action has it taken against its own leaders who are accused of graft?”
“No action has been taken.”
Gandhi said the BJP is “not against corruption, but only against the Congress”.
Meanwhile, Gadkari has cancelled his second round of campaigning, beginning Tuesday.
Himachal Pradesh will go to the polls Nov 4.
