Islamabad : At least 21 child beggars have been rescued by a child protection agency in Pakistan’s garrison city of Rawalpindi, a media report said.
The Child Protection and Welfare Bureau along with police teams rescued the child beggars from Saddar, Commercial Market, Pirwadhai and Scheme Three areas of the city in May, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported.
Officials said many children have been returned to their parents after tracking them down.
