Chennai : Two directors of Mumbai-based shipping company Pratibha Shipping Company Ltd were Wednesday remanded to judicial custody by a court here in a case related to the death of six sailors of the company’s tanker, police said.
In a statement issued here, police said Anand Rao Pawar and Suresh Anand Rao Pawar were arrested by a special police team Tuesday in Pune and were brought here and remanded to judicial custody.
They were arrested in connection with the death of six sailors of Pratibha Cauvery tanker that ran aground here last October, police said.
The six sailors drowned in the rough sea when their life boat capsized.
