“Tehzibul Akhlaq” has started its online edition

Aligarh: One of the oldest periodicals of the country, “Tehzibul Akhlaq” launched in 1870 by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, founder of the Aligarh Muslim University, has started its online edition.

In order to spread the message of Sir Syed across the globe, the Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Zameer Uddin Shah has instructed Prof. Sagheer Afrahim, Editor of the magazine to start its digital edition. The digitized version of the periodical has been published online on AMU’s website www.amu.ac.in

The magazine carries articles on important social, cultural and religious issues in line with Sir Syed’s emphasis on reform.

According to the Public Relations Officer, Dr. Rahat Abrar, another bilingual monthly of the University, The Aligarh Muslim University Gazette is already published on the AMU website. It was started by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan in 1866 and it claimed a mass popularity as “The Aligarh Institute Gazette”.
