New Delhi : Home Minister Rajnath Singh Monday took stock of the country’s internal security at a high-level meeting here.
The meeting, termed a “routine meet” by a home ministry official, assumes significance against the backdrop of heavy firing on the international border with Pakistan and the ‘terror boat’ incident in Indian waters.
“There is nothing new in it. It’s a routine feature. The home minister met officials concerned and that’s it,” the ministry official told IANS.
Intelligence Bureau chief Dineshwar Sharma, Research and Analysis Wing chief Rajinder Khanna and other officials were reportedly present in the meeting held at the home ministry.
