Mumbai : Several people, mostly women and children, were feared drowned when a boat capsized in Harohar river in Bihar’s Sheikhpura district on Thursday, according to NDTV.
The mishap occurred near Bavghat under Ghatkusumbha block when the victims, all residents of Panapur village, were going to immerse the idols of Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati after Karma Puja.
No bodies have, however, been recovered, Block Development Officer Sudhanshu Shekhar said.
Some 40 people were traveling in the boat when it overturned, sources said.
