The announcement was signed by India’s Communist Party, the Marxist Communist party, the Socialist Revolutionary party, Janata Dal Secular and the Advanced Block of India.

The parliamentarians of those groups will have a sit-down protest the 25th as part of the demonstrations that will take place in various cities.

In a joint declaration, they add that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit Washington that same day to make official the nuclear agreement, which is criticized for putting jeopardizing national sovereignty and vital interests.

The document also states that Singh promised to go to the national assembly once the nation obtained the endorsement from the International Organization of Atomic Energy and the Nuclear Supplying Group, but he has decided not to do so.

The new parliament session will not take place until October 17th, date when the agreement with the US will already be sealed, says the note.

The refusal to convoke the Parliament occurs in times when numerous terrorist attacks take place in Indian cities, the continuing rise of food prices and the impact of the US financial crisis hit the country at its hardest, adds the document.
