Islamabad : At least 10 people were killed, including three children, and 23 others were wounded today in two attacks against military personnel in this capital in the northwestern province, close to Afghanistan.
In the first incident, eight people were wounded when a suicide bomber launched his vehicle full of explosives against the anti terrorist squad of Islamabad’s police, according to Pakistan’s Press Agency (APP).
The expansive shocks of the bomb broke windows of buildings nearby, where also are located the Police Academy and the National Center for Security.
Later on, another artifact exploded leaving 10 dead, four of them police officers, three prisoners and three children in the zone of Chotin Tanar, located in the northwestern part of the country.
According to APP, the bomb was activated with a remote control as a prisoners transport convoy passed by this zone, also affecting a school bus.
Various children traveling in the bus ended up wounded and three of them lost their lives after arriving at a nearby hospital.
The Dir demarcation limits with the regional tribe Bajaur, located on the border with Afghanistan where the army has been holding military operations for the last two months to finish off the insurgents in the region.
