Srinagar : Trouble revisits historical lal chowk on Friday after the shopkeepers of the area staged demonstrated against alleged harassment by the Central Reserve Police force personnel deployed in the area.
Shopkeepers downed their shatters in protest and staged a sit on while raising slogans against the troopers housed in the palladium cinema.
The shopkeepers complained of undue harassment by the CRPF personnel by subjecting them to frequent frisking and searches of their shops. Â
They also said that the customers coming to their shops are also being harassed which has been constantly affecting their business.
"When people coming to our shops are being harassed, why would they come to such places" ? questioned a trader dealing in garments.  Â
