Bangkok : Four grenades exploded near the anti-government ASTV satellite television station at Bangkok’s Banglampoo area on Monday’s early morning but no fatalities or injuries were reported.
According to the Bangkok Post’s web news, at about 3:40 a.m. (2040 GMT, Sunday), guards of the anti-government People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) heard gun shots from the opposite side of Chao Phraya river, and the four blasts occurred a few seconds later. Police assumed that the grenades were launched from the middle of the river.
Many supporters of the PAD started massing before marching to the parliament at 6 a.m. (2300 GMT, Sunday), and they are also going to move to some other state offices later during the mass anti-government demonstration.
The PAD, which has seized the Government House since August 26,plans to hold a mass demonstration around the Parliament building on Monday as the Parliament opens its annual joint meeting. Rumors said the PAD supporters will seize the parliament complex.
